Angie Davis, Zen Muskoka
Angie Davis is the proud owner of Zen Muskoka. She is a registered 200-hour yoga teacher and a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher, having trained through the Trauma Center at the Justice Resource Institute. She is also a meditation teacher, having her Level 1 iRest® Yoga Nidra Teacher Certification accredited by the Integrative Restoration Institute in California. She teaches this research-based, complementary therapy that has been proven helpful for P.T.S.D., anxiety, sleep difficulties, and other issues. Angie is also trained in Mental Health Sensitivity, Mental Health First Aid, and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training). In her career as an elementary school teacher, she is on the Mental Health Steering Committee for Trillium Lakelands District School Board and presents provincially on the topics of health and wellness. Angie also loves leading yoga and meditation retreats in nature! As someone living with a traumatic brain injury and as a P.T.S.D. survivor, Angie understands the healing and transformative power of yoga firsthand. |
